Clarence A. Blevins, 80, of Elyria, passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. He was born May 25, 1945 in Jolo, WV and attended Thomas Edison Technical School, Cleveland. He retired as a gear cutter from Horseburg & Scott Company, Cleveland. Clarence was a member of College Heights Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He enjoyed fishing, camping, riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. He looked forward to traveling to Florida every winter.
Clarence is survived by his wife of 13 years, Mary Lou (nee Kriss); children, Tammy (David) Wearsch, Clarence Blevins, Jr., Richard (Renee) Blevins, Donald (Bernie) Blevins and Theresa (Darrell) Rhoads; step-children, Melissa (Brad) Essex and Eric Cutshall; brother, Bob (Oakie) Blevins; sister, Elizabeth “Janie” (Dennis Laverth) Lydick; sister-in-law, Lois Blevins and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Joyce Ann in 2011; son, Thomas Blevins; parents, Louis and Lois Blevins; brothers, Jim Blevins and Clifford (Eveline) Blevins and sisters, Joyce (JD) Asbury and Virginia “Aillin” (Bob) Litton.
Friends will be received Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Dicken, Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 10:30 am at the funeral home with Deacon Brad Shuder officiating. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
